i have hp elitebook 840G3 laptop and it has ubuntu operating system. how i download drivers for  sim card slot drivers.

Hi:

 

Every Elitebook 840 G3 has a SIM card slot.

 

SIM cards do not need any drivers.

 

What 90% of the 840 G3's don't have is the optional and expensive WWAN adapter that is needed to connect to the cellular service.

 

The SIM card just authorizes you to use your cellular provider's network.

 

In order to connect to the cellular network your notebook must have one of these model WWAN adapters listed in the device manager under the Network Adapters device manager category:

 

HP lt4120 Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module

 

HP hs3110 HSPA+ Intel Mobile Broadband Module
