I have a Reaktek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn WiFi adapter installed. I just acquired broadband capabilities with a Trenda dual band wireless router. This computer can only find one of the bands. My other HP and Lenovo finds both bands (wifi connections) and lets me select the one. This computer does not see the one labeled " ...-G6". I have checked all drivers updated and Windows 10 updated. Is there a setting I should change?
Thanks,
Allen.

Hi, Allen:
The Reaktek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn WiFi adapter is a single band only wifi adapter.
That is why no 5.0 GHz wifi networks are showing up.
If you want to upgrade the internal card to this one, it will work on both bands...
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
You can find this model on eBay, or the HP parts store.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8188EE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...

Or you can purchase a dual band USB wifi adapter.
