Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my laptop is running at 1.7 download speed .  once in a while it will be around 8 and once in a while 44.  I have 100 mb speed.  so ive been told it should be above 70.  What can we do to speed it up back to normal?  we've deleted cookies, defragged it, reset modem and router etc...

Hi

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat (not a .TXT) and double click to run.
Preferably run as an Administrator.
OR
Copy and use the individual command lines as needed.

Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

@Echo OFF
getmac
netsh lan show interfaces
netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan show drivers

PAUSE
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"
PAUSE

The above will give a lot of info about your system, please use the "getmac" section first and post back any results.

Ok I did what you sent me and after double clicking on it the C: windows system came up and showed all kinds of things.  Do you want to see some of that or what?  Not sure what to do.  You also sent the following and I don't know what to do with it:

@Echo OFF
getmac
netsh lan show interfaces
netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan show drivers

PAUSE
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"
PAUSE

Can you guide me what to do or tell me what I should copy from what showed up after double clicking?

My laptop (Envy) with intel module was replaced and serviced several times.... now my wifi simply stops working every 5 minutes... but before that, before they replaced my working hardware along with the broken keyboard, I found that Intel 7265 Wifi has compatibility issues with 5GHz access points, at least with ASUS RT-AC68U. Moving to 2.4 GHz speeds it up. Meanwhile my Desktop wireless-AC 7260 kit has no such problems and pushes at 10Mb/s(the best my provider can offer) through the same ASUS router. So it depends on wifi model and maybe its firmware... and in 10 years I found that maybe every 4th intel's wifi module has stability issues, which are cured by replacing it.

OR just these 2

PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
