According to the service manual on your notebook's support page, it does have a RJ-45 ethernet port.
The port is located on the right side of the notebook labeled as #4 in the illustration in chapter 2, page 7 of the service manual.
I came across an unusual situation where my HP 255 G7 notebook has an ethernet port, but there is a flap that covers part of the port and in order to insert an ethernet cable (there is only one size ethernet cable connector that I know of), you have to carefully push that flap down and you should be able to insert the cable in the port, if that is the problem you are having.
