Today, I found out that my laptop had a Simcard slot in the back of my battery. so I tried to insert a Simcard and then nothing happened when I turn on my pc. then after, I tried installing 'mobile broadband driver' for my model but the package didn't install correctly. when I opened the driver installer it extracts the files then nothing shows after that. it just 'forgets' the installation process. so what am I doing wrong?

Hi:

Almost every HP business-class notebook has a SIM card slot.

What 90% of them don't have, is the optional and required WWAN card that accesses the cellular wireless service.

If you do not see one of these mobile broadband (WWAN) adapters listed under the Network Adapters device manager category, then you can't connect to the internet using a SIM card.

Hi:

No, those are for the ethernet and wireless network adapters.

You need to see one of those two device models I posted above, as well as a model ethernet adapter and a model wireless adapter.
