hp elitebook 830 g6 sim card inserted but no cellular icon and cellular setting.

Any help ?

Hi:

Every HP Elitebook 830 G6 has a SIM card slot.

What 90+% of them don't have is the required WWAN adapter needed to connect to the cellular tower.

If you have that problem your notebook does not have the required WWAN adapter.

If your notebook had the required adapter, you would be seeing one of these models listed in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category:

Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced (CAT 9) 
Intel XMM 7560 LTE-Advanced Pro (CAT 16) 
Intel XMM 7262 LTE-Advanced (CAT 6)

The supported WWAN adapters can be found in chapter 3.

Before buying one of the supported WWAN adapters, ensure that the antenna wires are present in the WWAN compartment.

You can only buy one of the models listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it will not work.
