Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this laptop for 1 year and a half. I have had good results until quite recently, the internet connection has been iffy, it disconnects and/or has limited internet. I have tried many solutions, from resetting winsock, to re-installing the driver. I have tried updating the driver, disableing and enableing, and many more things. However none of these have worked. I have tried almost everything on the Microsoft website, and the HP website. I have also contacted the Intel webite, to no prevail. Is there anything else I can try, or maybe i have the wrong driver. I have an Intel (R) Dual-Band Wireless AC 3160. One of the reoccuring errors that I get whenever I try trubleshooting is the missing protocols, however I also frequently get the problem with the wireless adapter error. I would really apreciate any type of feedback.

Hello @eagarcia00,

I'm glad that the WiFi is now connecting! I wasn't able to find any documents specifically resolving data packet loss over a wireless network. I did find an article from a different website with some steps to reduce packet loss.

Hello @eagarcia00,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that the wireless is not working correctly on your HP Envy m6 Notebook. I do see you have tried a lot of the troubleshooting so leading you to the HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 10) document wouldn't be the greatest hlp but always good to double check it.

I have found this HP thread with customers dealing with a similar issue and some suggestions on how to fix it.

Newer driver versions are on the Intel website:Downloads for Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160

Thank you FlashRam

However the links have not helped much. The WiFi is now connecting, however I am getting very large amounts of Paket loss. This is something that has not happened before, and is really disapointing. However I am sure that now that the adapter works there is something to reduce the paket loss. If not just tell me, and i will go get a different network adapter somewhere.

Thank you for your help
