Hi, I have an envy m6-k125dx laptop that I believe has a battery issue, because everytime I unplug the laptop, it powers off immediately, and eventually leaving me to lose everything. It blacks out and in order to turn it back on I must plug it in and power it on. Its been this way ever since & I wanted to find some sort of battery recall option that I had seen somewhere but can't manage to find it.

If its possible I'd like advice on what to do, and how I can resolve this issue. I work with this laptop day and night, and being unabe to take it with me is truly a big situation for me. If I can get help on this I'd truly appreciate it.

This notebook is not built to run XP - assuming you are actually doing so, lots of things are not going to work as expected.

The steps to check / calibrate / replace the battery are included in this document:

And / Or

Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 10)

Document includes information and link for using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) (preferred method) and / or using the HP Support Assistant to test the battery.

The battery might be on a Recall List:
