I’ve been using the laptop for 9 months now. When I bought it, it had Windows 11 Pro, and the network adapter worked! I decided to reinstall Windows and after that in the BIOS the network adapter icon is lit, the Wi-Fi icon is not lit
Please help

Hi @mamkin66nagibat ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues with the network adapter on your HP Victus laptop after reinstalling Windows. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Check Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Look for the network adapters section and see if your wireless network adapter is listed.
- If there's an exclamation mark or a down arrow next to it, there may be a driver issue.
Update or Reinstall Network Drivers:
- Right-click on the network adapter in Device Manager and select "Update driver" or "Uninstall device."
- If you choose to uninstall, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers. If not, download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Since you mentioned the issue started after reinstalling Windows, it's worth checking the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI (usually by pressing a key like Esc, F2, F10, or Del during the boot process).
- Look for a section related to network settings and ensure that the wireless LAN or Wi-Fi is enabled.
Check for Physical Switch or Function Key:
- Some laptops have physical switches or function keys (e.g., Fn + F2, F3, etc.) to enable or disable wireless connectivity. Ensure that the wireless function is turned on.
Reset Network Settings:
- In Windows, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on "Network reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. This will reset network settings to their default values.
Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Run the "Internet Connections" troubleshooter to identify and fix network-related problems.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Install any pending updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
