I would like to swap mediatek wifi card to  intel ax211 or  intel ax210 in my hp victus 15 fb0124nw
Here's a thing tho that intel card is not offered with amd hp victus 15 models:
https://support.hp.com/sk-en/document/ish_6400408-6400457-16
Only with intel hp victus 15 models:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_6398109-6398208-16
And I have hp victus with amd cpu (amd ryzen 5600H)
Therefore I would like to know if my current model would be compatible with any of those two wifi intel cards and if swapping the wifi card would void warranty

Hi:

Since your notebook has an AMD processor and chipset, the Intel AX211 definitely won't work, and the AX210 probably won't work.

We have no posts from anyone on this forum that has replaced the Mediatek card with a different model so you will have to take a gamble on replacing the card.

HP installed an Intel AX200 Wi-Fi 6 card in my HP Envy notebook which has an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor.

This is the description and part number of that card:

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro    HP part #L35282-005

If you want to experiment with the AX210, then this is the part number you would use:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # M27269-005

If you decide to take the gamble, please post back and let us know if either of those cards worked.

Regarding the warranty...this is a peer to peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP and therefore unable to provide official guidance on the warranty terms and conditions.

Removing and replacing the Wi-Fi card is a procedure that HP wants done by an authorized service center.

Could you explain why? Is it coz 5th gen Ryzen architecture doesn't support wifi 6e?

Unfortunately, I can't explain wwhy.

You will find many posts on this forum where folks have installed Intel AX210 wifi cards in their AMD notebooks and they didn't work.

Feel free to take your chances on one.

Maybe you'll be lucky.

Thanks for help, out of curiosity - which wireless card you had installed in your hp envy? Was it mediatek 7921 too? did you see significant improvement after swapping it for ax200? in terms of speed or at least stability?

You're very welcome.

I didn't change the card.

The Intel AX200 was the original card HP installed in my notebook.

It has never given me any problems.
