@BodrulHasan, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the ethernet connection!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Looks like your PC is giving your Ethernet cable the silent treatment—let’s bring back the connection! 😎
Try these steps to fix the issue:
Check If the Ethernet Adapter is Enabled
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters and look for your Ethernet adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or Broadcom).
- If it’s disabled, right-click and select Enable device.
Reinstall the Ethernet Driver
- In Device Manager, right-click your Ethernet adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer—Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If the adapter is still missing, download the latest driver from your PC manufacturer’s website and install it manually.
Check for Hidden Devices
- In Device Manager, click View > Show hidden devices.
- If the Ethernet adapter appears faded, right-click and select Update driver or Enable device.
Run the Network Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Click Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections > Run the troubleshooter.
Reset Network Settings
- Open Settings > Network & Internet.
- Scroll down and click Network reset.
- Restart your PC and try again.
Check BIOS Settings
If none of the above work, your Ethernet port might be disabled in BIOS:
- Restart your PC and enter BIOS (press F2, F10, or ESC, depending on your system).
- Look for Integrated LAN or Onboard LAN and ensure it’s enabled.
- Save and exit BIOS, then check if Ethernet is detected.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
