Hi:
See if this driver works and if not, try manually installing the driver.
This package contains the driver installation package for the Ralink wireless LAN Controllers in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71001-71500/sp71421.exe
How to manually install the driver...when the wifi adapter needs a driver, windows labels the wifi adapter as a Network Controller in the device manager.
It will be found under an Other Devices category, and it will have a little ! mark next to it.
Go to the device manager, click on the Network Controller device needing the driver. Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp71421.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
