Hi @Rachel242,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 720 Bluetooth Keyboard has become unpaired and won’t pair back, try these steps.
Reset the Keyboard
- Turn off the keyboard (if it has a power switch).
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button (or Fn + Bluetooth key) for about 5-10 seconds until the LED starts blinking.
- If the LED doesn’t blink, remove the batteries (if applicable), wait 30 seconds, then reinsert them.
Remove the Keyboard from Your Device
On Windows:
- Open Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices
- Find HP 720 Keyboard, click it, and select Remove device
- Restart your PC and try pairing again
On Mac:
- Go to System Settings > Bluetooth
- Locate the HP 720 Keyboard, click Forget Device
- Restart your Mac and attempt pairing again
Re-Pair the Keyboard
- Put the keyboard into pairing mode by holding the Bluetooth button until the LED blinks.
- On your computer, turn Bluetooth off and on.
- Search for available devices and select HP 720 Keyboard when it appears.
- Enter the pairing code if prompted.
Check for Interference & Update Drivers
- Ensure other Bluetooth devices are not interfering.
- If on Windows, update Bluetooth drivers via Device Manager.
- Try pairing the keyboard with a different device to check if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
