I had to change the hard drive and now can find no drivers for my laptop. I need to driver for the ethernet adapter and the wlan wifi. I have searched the HP website and keep getting the message tht there are no drivers for my machine. I am redoing this laptop to give to a girl who has cancer so it is important that she connect to the internet. HELP!

Hi:
You need this ethernet driver...
This package provides the Atheros Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Atheros Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53699.exe
I don't know what model wifi adapter your specific model has--you can see many wifi drivers listed on the support page.
So, please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.
That is the name Windows gives the wifi adapter when the driver is missing.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID, and then I will post the link to the wifi driver you need.
