Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi, due to my stream14 locking up due to lack of storage, and proving unrestoreable because of the same problem, I formatted the C drive, and installed windows 8.1 I did this to reduce the storeage useage problems consistently occuring with windows 10, all works OK except that I cannot obtain an internet connection getting a "modem/router reports error 651 cannot conect to internet." message. I knew that older versions of the stream notebook used windows 8.1 OS, but HP only appear to offer windows 10 ethernet drivers. Any suggestions, or do I have to try to reinstall windows 10, and return to the constant battle for storeage this entails?
