I have the same issue as of others I see on this board. My hp pavilion windows 11 keeps dropping audio completely or is cuts in and out constantly now and then. It is not a connection issue. I can restart the laptop and connect and it works fine for a few hours then either drops or becomes choppy. I do not have this problem when connecting to other pc's. I also did not have an issue with my old HP eny windows 10 but that was 10 years old and decided to get this new pavilion. I am getting very close
to regretting that choice. I see alot of other people having this same issue but nothing from HP yet to help any of us to resolve this issue. Can we please get someone to look into and resolve this issue.

Hi @randycressman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with intermittent Bluetooth audio issues on your HP Pavilion Laptop 15 running Windows 11. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Update Bluetooth Drivers
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Bluetooth section.
- Right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers
- In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop.
- Windows should automatically reinstall the Bluetooth driver. If not, you can download it from the HP Support website for your specific model.
Update Windows
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security and click Check for updates.
- Install any available updates.
Disable Bluetooth Power Management
- In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Adjust Audio Quality Settings
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Sound.
- Select your Bluetooth audio device and click Device properties.
- Click Additional device properties.
- Go to the Advanced tab and change the default format to a lower quality setting.
Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Click Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter.

Check for Interference
Ensure there are no devices nearby that could interfere with the Bluetooth signal, such as other wireless devices or USB 3.0 devices.
Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop model and go to the drivers section.
- Download and install the latest BIOS and chipset drivers.
Disable Fast Startup
- Press Win + X and select Power Options.
- Click Additional power settings.
- Click Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup and click Save changes.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
