Hi @faiyaz3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're trying to connect to the internet using your mobile hotspot and it's not appearing on your laptop screen, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check if your mobile hotspot is enabled: On your mobile device, go to the settings menu and look for the "Hotspot" or "Tethering" option. Make sure it is turned on.
  • Verify that your laptop has Wi-Fi enabled: On your laptop, check if the Wi-Fi is turned on. Look for a Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar or in the system tray area.
  • Restart your devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart both your mobile device and laptop.
  • Move closer to your mobile device: Ensure that your laptop is within range of your mobile device's hotspot. Sometimes, the signal strength may be weak if you're far away.
  • Check if other devices can connect: Connect another device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to your mobile hotspot to see if it appears and connects successfully. This will help determine if the issue is specific to your laptop or the hotspot itself.
  • Disable and re-enable the hotspot: Turn off the mobile hotspot on your device and then turn it back on after a few seconds. This action can refresh the connection and make it visible on your laptop.
  • Update your laptop's Wi-Fi drivers: Outdated or incompatible Wi-Fi drivers can cause connection issues. Visit your laptop manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your Wi-Fi adapter.
  • Reset network settings on your laptop: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the network settings on your laptop. This action will remove any saved Wi-Fi connections and reset network configurations to default. Remember to reconnect to your mobile hotspot afterward.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
