Idmatuska,
After I used this solution, I later rebooted my laptop and once again my wireless had disappeared.
I signed into HP Passport for help at the following url: https://hpp12.passport.hp.com/hppcf/login.do?&lang=en&cc=ca,us&applandingpage=https://support.hp.com...
I went to the model number for my laptop, however you would have to go to your own model number. Mine was at the following url: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-g000-touchsmart-notebook-pc-series/6875196/mo...
I expect that the page of your model type will look the same as mine once you get there. When you do, I expect you will see a list of areas from which you can download useful materials (Driver-Audio, Driver-Graphics, BIOS, Firmware, etc.). In this case, I went to the fourth item, "Driver-Network," downloaded the driver for my model and OS, and then installed it. After rebooting, my wireless connection returned. So if you lose your connection again, this is the method I used.
Good luck.

I have a Hewlett-Packard Sequel HP 15 Notebook PC, System type: x64-based PC.
My wireless has disappeared and reappeared many times now until I could not bring it back without rebooting it several times. I tried much of the advice that I found on here until I looked in the driver settings.
I have no credentials for fixing connection issues however this worked for me. I tried many other described solutions provided on this forum without any success.
Go to Device Manager under "Network adapters/Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
/Advanced/Property: 802.11d. I found the "Value:" at "Disabled." Eventually I was brave enough to click on the Value and select "Enabled." When I rebooted, the laptop, the wifi came back on.
We'll see how long this lasts, however for now it works. I hope there is an update for the driver, as this seems unreliable and needs to change.
See if this works for you.

I went as you said and I enabled the device as you said and I now have wireless again. I'm not sure that the network software was there before when I went to device manager and network adapters, prior to your advice. one thing is for sure you help me out with your solution thanks.
