Hi @Samuel137,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

What HP computer model and Windows version are you using?

What type of phone are you trying to connect (Android, iPhone, or other)?

How are you connecting the phone USB cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi?

Have you seen any error messages when trying to connect?

In the meantime, here are some steps you can try:

Check the USB Cable and Port – Make sure you’re using a data-capable cable (some cables are charge-only) and try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.

Install the Correct Drivers – For Android phones, you may need the OEM USB driver or install Android File Transfer / MTP drivers. For iPhones,  iTunes is installed and up to date.

Enable File Transfer on Phone – On Android, select “File Transfer” or “MTP” mode when prompted. On iPhone, unlock the phone and tap “Trust this computer.”

Restart Devices – Restart both your computer and phone, then try connecting again.

Check Device Manager – On your HP computer, open Device Manager and look for your phone under Portable Devices or Other Devices. If there’s a yellow warning icon, right-click → Update driver → Search automatically.

I hope this helps.
