Hello, I have installed an ethernet lan at home with 600mb speed, but once connected, my laptop only scales up to 100mb. The network is fine as I tested it with other connected devices. What can I do to improve my HP speed?

Thank you

Hi:

The onboard ethernet adapter your notebook has has a hardware limitation of 10/100 MBPS.

Your only option would be to purchase a USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter and plug it into your notebook's USB 3 port.

You're very welcome.

Yes, according to the user guide at the link below, chapter 2, pages 4 & 5, there are two USB 3 ports on the left side of the notebook, labeled as #5 in the illustration.
