Yes, I cloned my HDD OS to the SSD. Then backed up the Clone and deleted it from the HDD to use the HDD as storage and didn't have a problem until the network card issue which forced me to reload the clone back to the HDD which solved the network card issue and from there I tried a clean reinstall of windows to the SSD but this cause the first error stated with the issues of multple operating systems. However after formating the HDD the choice is not there. Would it be possible to change the Boot configuration data to point to the SSD and would you recommend doing that?

You really need to change the BCD to point to the SSD. You might find this reference (click) helpful - please note the suggestion to export a copy of the BCD onto removable media such as a USB stick before editing anything. There is a full reference for bcdedit on the Microsoft web site.
