i have hp elitebook 840 g5 My sim slot is not working and not showing cellular data option in settings Can you tell me hoe can i enable this slot setting and use it

Hi:

 

Every HP Elitebook has a SIM card slot.

 

What 90% of them don't have is the expensive and optional WWAN adapter that is required to connect to the cellular tower.

 

All the SIM card does is give you access to your cell phone provider's network.

 

In order for your notebook to connect to the cellular network, it must have one of these 2 WWAN adapters present, which would be found under the Network Adapters device manager category:

 

LTE CAT4: Huawei HP lt4132, LTE/HSPA+ w/GPS 
LTE CAT9: Fibocom Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced
