@soranet

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand your device has a blue screen error - "netwtw06.sys",

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you made any recent hardware or software changes that could have caused this issue?
  • Did you perform a system restore to an earlier date the issue didn't exist?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:

The error has I assume you already know, is related to the wireless adapter and I recommend you update the wireless drivers using the device manager, if not done already, here's how its done:

  • Click on Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc, and press Enter.

  • Alternatively you can right-click on Windows key and select Device Manager.

  • When the Device Manager opens, expand Network adapters section.

  • Right-click on your Network Adapter (Intel Network Adapter is most frequently affected) and select Update Driver Software.

  • If updating the driver did not fix DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Netwtw04.sys) error, try to uninstall it completely and then reinstall it manually. For this purpose, repeat the same steps as provided above, except that instead of Update Driver Software select Uninstall.

  • Then, while on the Device Manager, click on the Action tab and select Scan for Hardware Changes. The system should automatically detect the missing driver, but if for some reason the driver is not detected, navigate to the manufacturer's website and download it manually. Select the latest version and make sure that it's compatible with your OS.

NOTE: several people reported that the issue just started happening a few days after updating some system drivers. In this case, try reverting back the old driver versions.

Next, Uninstall The Secondary Anti-Virus Program (If any) as it could cause such issues as well.

And last but not the least, look for corrupted system files and fix it using the SFC Scan:

To run the sfc in Windows 10, follow these steps:

  1. Boot into your system
  2. Press the Windows key to open the Start Menu
  3. Type command prompt or cmd in the search field
  4. From the search results list, right-click on Command Prompt
  5. Select Run as Administrator
  6. Enter the password
  7. When Command Prompt loads, type the sfc command and press Enter:

    sfc /scannow

You can also run the utility from the Windows installation disc. To do so, follow these steps below.

If you don’t have the installation disc, go to Run sfc in Easy Recovery Essentials. You can burn EasyRE on any CD, DVD or USBs.

  1. Insert the disc and restart the computer
  2. Press any key to boot from the DVD
  3. Choose your keyboard layout, time and language
  4. Click Next
  5. Click Repair your computer
  6. Click Troubleshoot
  7. Click Advanced options
  8. Click Command Prompt
  9. Type the command and press Enter:

    sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows

Keep me posted,

For I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again, if you don't get back to us 😉

that said, If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
