Basically what happened before: After a Windows 10 update, my computer was not showing any network options. (The icon says "Not connected - No connections are available) Going into Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network Connections, it then says "Local Area Connection Network cable unplugged". I ran diagnostics and it said to plug in the ethernet cable to the network adaptor. So my wifi connection will not work with my laptop unless directly connected to by the ethernet cable. Wifi works fine with phones, ipods/ipads, and another laptop. I can not find any wireless connection, Please help. I reset the entire computer and still no wifi.

I am not a tech, however this is what I did. I looked up the device I should have at hp ( by letting them find my pc).I reset the PC to factory (that prompted HP Assist to update my BIOS). Then I downloaded the drivers from the HP site (it was the intel wireless driver I was missing). I went to HP assist and they showed the downloads waiting there, I downloaded the drivers. I then went to device manager (I watched a video on it inHP support) and downloaded the drivers needed. Best of luck, I know I was going crazy!!
