Hi,

I am servicing a clients HP here and the WiFi is turned off and cannot be turned back on?

In settings when turned on it shuts off right away.

In the task bar it offers to turn the Wifi back on "Manually, for 1hr, 4hr, or All Day"?

I've uninstalled the wifi drivers letting the system re-install them, still nothing.

I've Updated to the latest Windows 10 update, nothing?

I've run your hp diagnostics for wifi and still nothing.

The wired connection works fine but the client needs the wifi for mobility in their home and when traveling.

So, what is going on here and how do  fix it for them?

John

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Press Windows and X key together and select Device Manager. Locate the Network adapter and expand the driver icon. Right Click on the network driver and click on Properties. Navigate to Power Management tab and uncheck the option that says “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
