I took out the sim card to insert it into another device and when I insert it back to my laptop it doesn't recognise as anything has been inserted.
Drivers are up to date.
Tried resetting network settings.
Tried to insert the sim card while laptop is shut off/mobile network turned off.
WiFi works
Tested with another sim card- problem persists
Tested the same sim card in another device again just in case- sim card works

Did you buy WWAN card option for your machine ? Without WWAN option, the SIM card is useless.
Regards.

Thank you for the response.
Yes, haven't had any problems using mobile network until now for about 6 months and during that time I have previously taken out the sim card and insert it back and it working perfectly.
The problem has been going on now for more than 24h
