Did you buy WWAN card option for your machine ? Without WWAN option the SIM card is useless.
Does your machine have one of the following entries in Device Manager ? That is the MUST have:
● Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced (CAT 9)
● Intel XMM 7560 LTE-Advanced Pro (CAT 16)
