Your machine is an HP 15-r018dx, its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04262932
It has
Network Card | 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector) |
Wireless Connectivity | 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN |
Both are very slow in comparison with today standard. CAT 6 is better Cat 5e but for your machine, it doesn't matter anyway because it NIC is very slow.
Your machine was built around 2014 therefore the chance to upgrade wifi adapter is very slim to none. You can use USB options
1. Wifi: You can use an adapter which is similar to the following device
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO
2. NIC: You can use an adapter which is similar to the following device, you will get 2 more USB ports

Regards.
