The HP Laptop was working yesterday and had wifi connection.  I did some deinstalling of the files/programs but not anything I thought was related to the system  Windows 10.   Today, the Network file on file explorer is empty and no networks are shown on the settings for internet.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: 

  • From the Start screen, type device manager to open the Search charm, and then select Device Manager from the search results. Double-click Network adapters. Right-click the name of your wireless network adapter, and then select Uninstall.
  • Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03535285 to complete the troubleshooting steps.
