Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook come with?

There is one model wifi adapter (Realtek 8188EE) that is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

If you don't have that model wifi adapter, see if installing the HP connection manager software gets the bluetooth to show up.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82423.exe

Restart the PC after installing and see if you can turn on the Bluetooth radio by using the software controls.

You're very welcome.

It is not a driver issue.  It is a hardware issue.

In order to have bluetooth, you would need to replace the Realtek RTL8188EE wifi adapter with the Realtek RTL8273BE

Wifi/Bluetooth adapter--HP Part # 855106-885.

Here is the link to the service manual.   The wifi adapter removal and replacement procedures can be found in chapter 6, starting on page 36.

It is not an easy task to replace the wifi card in that model.

If you don't want to do that, then you can always purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter to add bluetooth networking to your notebook.
