Is your notebook one of the very few 2560p's that came with the optional WWAN card that connects to a cellular network?

You can't connect to a cellular network without the WWAN hardware installed.

If the notebook has a WWAN adapter installed it will be listed in the device manager under the Network adapters device manager category and will be one of the models listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual:

c03011618.pdf

HP un2430 EV-DO/HSPA Mobile Broadband Module

HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module

Without one of those two adapters installed, you cannot use mobile broadband.

the two modules you said is not installed in device manger, but can I manually install those so I can use cellular data

Are there any devices listed in the device manager that need drivers?

HP Recommended

I don't know, but here is the drivers under network adapters

Yes, but none of those devices are for the WWAN adapter, so your notebook most likely doesn't have one.

You need this driver for the base system device (SD card reader):

JMicron Media Card Reader Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64135.exe

One of the unknown devices probably needs this driver:

HP 3D DriveGuard Software

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

If you post the hardware ID for the remaining unknown device after you install the above drivers, I will post the link to the driver for that one.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device:

How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager

Going back to the original issue...

You are going to have to open up the notebook and confirm that the antenna wires are there before you try and find one of the above model cards.

The WWAN card removal and replacement procedure can be found in chapter 4.

Then you will have to find and buy one of the two WWAN adapters listed in chapter 3 of the service manual, and it is very important that you only buy one that has the HP part number on it, or it will not work.

The other problem is...there are no W10 drivers for either model card, so you may buy one and not be able to get it to work unless the W8.1 drivers from your notebook's support page work.
