HP DeskJet 2710 All-in-One Printer

I have a Deskjet 2710 connected via wifi to my Chromebook. The printer functions as a Wifi Direct point. This wifi direct signal interferes with the wifi signal in my house and degrades video calls

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to turn off the wifi direct option, I am glad to assist you.

  • You can turn off the WiFi direct from the EWS page:-
  • To open the embedded web server through a network
  • Find out the IP address or hostname of the printer by pressing the Information button to print an Information page.
  • In a supported web browser on your computer, type the IP address or hostname assigned to the printer. For example, if the IP address is 123.123.123.123, type the following address into the web browser: http://123.123.123.123.
  • Once you open the EWS page, Within the Wireless tab select HP Wi-Fi Direct and from there disable the feature.
