I have HP Notebook - 15-ay109nj and 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth® 4.0 combo (Miracast compatible).
I would like to upgrade the adapter to newer version which support higher speeds but I can't figure out which one should I buy.

Hi:
Since your notebook only comes with one Wi-Fi antenna wire, there is only one dual band Wi-Fi card you can upgrade to and that is this one:
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.
You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.
I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress
On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was looking for one on Aliexpress but again I'm confused as there is p.n & p.s number. the p.n is like you said but not the p.s
RTL8821CE 802.11AC 1X1 Wi-Fi+BT 4.2 Combo Adapter Card SPS 915621-001 Wireless Network Card
also on item description I see this
Compatible with:
PB430G5 C3865U 13 4GB/128 PC
PB430G5 i5-7200U 13 4GB/500 PC
PB430G5 i5-8250U 13 4GB/1T PC
ProBook 450 G5 Notebook PC
How do I figure which I have?
my hp support assistance only shows "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz"
