Yes, Japan uses same AC voltage as in the US and could be same plugs too. Nowadays we can use notebooks around the world using household electrical outlets, many tourist shops (including shops at the airports) sell all sort of adapters to fit the "wall" points/outlets even one-fit-all adapters
