Hi ..Can you please tell me if a laptop with wifi 6 will connect to my old router?   I ordered a new laptop that gave me an option for wifi 6 or wifi Realtek wifi 5 ..so I chose wifi 6 but is that compatible with an old router?  Thanks so much!

Hi:

Yes, Wifi 6 is backward compatible.

I recently got a new HP notebook with the Intel AX200 wifi card, and with an AC router, it connects at 867 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.

I recently upgraded to an ASUS 11000 AX router and now the card connects at the higher AX speeds.

All of my old wireless G/N and AC devices also work with the AX router as well.
