Hi all, Just wondering if the if the Intel Centino ultimate -n 6300 would be a worthwhile upgrade to The Centrino advanced-n 6205 in my Elitebook 8470p and would there be any problems installing it. The ultimate is mentioned on page 81 of the 8470p manual in the list of WLAN modules. OS Win 7 Professional Service pack 1. Many thanks.

Hi:
I don't believe that your notebook has the 3 antenna wires that need to be connected to the Intel Centrino 6300, since the Intel Centrino 6205 only uses two.
Now if by chance your notebook does have the third antenna wire, the Intel 6300 has a maximum throughput of 450 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band and the 6205 has a maximum throughput of 300 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band.
