Hi @614461,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is having trouble connecting to your WiFi network, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Check WiFi Settings:
    • Ensure that WiFi is enabled on your laptop. You can usually turn it on using the WiFi button (usually found on the keyboard) or through Windows Settings.

  2. Restart Your Devices:
    • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Try restarting your laptop and your WiFi router.

  3. Check and Reconnect to the Network:
    • Go to the Network & Internet settings by clicking on the WiFi icon in the taskbar.
    • Select your WiFi network and click on "Forget."
    • Restart the laptop, find your network again, and re-enter your network password to reconnect.

  4. Update Network Drivers:
    • Ensure that your network drivers are up to date.
    • You can do this by going to Device Manager > Network adapters > Right-click on your WiFi adapter > Update driver.

  5. Check Airplane Mode:
    • Ensure that your device is not in Airplane Mode. You can toggle this off in the Windows Action Center or Network & Internet settings.

  6. Run Network Troubleshooter:
    • Windows has a built-in network troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix connection problems.
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections and click "Run the troubleshooter."

  7. Verify Network Settings:
    • Ensure that your WiFi network is broadcasting on the 2.4 GHz band, as some laptops might not support 5 GHz networks.

If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing problems, it may be beneficial to contact HP Customer Support for further assistance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
