Hi @rfmayne,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your WiFi name has changed, you'll need to reconnect your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer to the new network. Follow these steps.
Reconnect Printer to WiFi
- Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
- On the printer’s touchscreen, tap the Wireless icon (or navigate to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Settings).
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Choose your new WiFi network from the list.
- Enter your WiFi password and confirm the connection.
Reconnect Printer to Computer
For Windows:
- Open Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP Envy 7640, click Remove device, then Yes.
- Click Add a printer or scanner, wait for your printer to appear, and select it.
- If it doesn’t appear, click The printer I want isn’t listed, then follow the prompts to manually add it.
For Mac:
- Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP Envy 7640, click the minus (-) button to remove it.
- Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax, wait for your printer to appear, then add it.
- If the printer doesn’t appear, download the latest HP Smart app from the Mac App Store and set up the printer again.
After these steps, your printer should be back online.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
