Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

A week ago I bought my laptop with already installed McAfee antivirus program. My wifi connection keeps disconnecting or it shows like it is connected although in reality it is not. After discussing several forums, it seems like the antivirus program could be the culprit. I tried to uninstall Mcafee which doesnt seem to be possible as it always asks for the " permission from the administrator". Anyone experienced a similar problem ? Thanks

The top tier antivirus programs usually require an uninstaller from the maker, specifically McAfee products.

See the link below this line for McAfee uninstall information.

I have never experienced what you have described. I have been using ESET Smart Security and Endpoint Security for years without ever having it happen.

What troubleshooting leads you to the conclusion that the issue is the antivirus software?

I have generally found the issue to be the WLAN adapter itself, the adapter's driver software or an ISP/router problem.
