probook 6550b
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

i have recently acquired my fathers probook 6550b it had hdd troubles and a reinstall as impossible so i formatted the drive and did a fresh install of win 7 professional all fires up now i have to fix the drivers wifi does not work i have downloaded and tried to install all 9 drivers and none are picking up wifi they are getting the bluetooth not a problem but no wifi there are also 4 unknown devices that show up in device manager. my question is what drivers and what sequence do they need to be installed for the probook to work correctly the wifi di work before new win 7 install

any hel suggestions greatly appreciated

Please post the hardware ID's for the devices that need drivers so I can figure out what driver they need.

 

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.

If you have tried every wifi driver there is, see if installing the HP connection manager software, restart the PC, and see if you can turn of the wifi using the connection manager software controls.

 

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supported notebook running a supported operating system.
