Hi @win714,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the Wi-Fi light on your HP ENVY 6458e All-In-One Printer is not turning on, it could indicate an issue with the printer's Wi-Fi connectivity. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Power and Connections:

  • Make sure the printer is properly plugged into a power source and turned on.
  • Ensure that the power cord and any other cables are securely connected.

Restart the Printer:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Check Wi-Fi Settings:

  • Access the printer's control panel and navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.
  • Make sure that the Wi-Fi is enabled and that the printer is connected to the correct network.

Reset Network Settings:

  • If the printer's network settings have become corrupted, you might need to reset them.
  • Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a network reset.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • If the printer is not connected to the Wi-Fi network, you'll need to set up the Wi-Fi connection again.
  • Access the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings, and select your network from the available options. Enter the Wi-Fi password if required.

Check Router Settings:

  • Ensure that your router is functioning properly and is broadcasting the Wi-Fi network.
  • You can try restarting the router to see if it helps establish a connection.

Move Closer to the Router:

  • Sometimes, the printer might be out of range from the Wi-Fi signal. Try moving the printer closer to the router to see if it connects.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Outdated firmware could cause connectivity issues.
  • Visit the HP website and search for your printer model to find any available updates.

Check for Interference:

  • Nearby electronic devices or physical obstacles can interfere with the Wi-Fi signal. Make sure there are no devices causing interference and that the printer has a clear line of sight to the router.

Factory Reset (as a last resort):

  • If none of the above steps work, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will erase all settings, so you'll need to set up the printer from scratch afterward.

If you've tried these troubleshooting steps and the Wi-Fi light still doesn't turn on, there might be a more complex issue with the printer's hardware or software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
