wifi keeps disconnecting

HP Recommended
HP Notebook - 15-db0004dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer keeps disconnecting from my wifi.  I bought a Linksys USB wireless adapter that is faster but also keeps disconnecting from the wifi.  I have searched and tried all suggestions, but nothing seems to work.  Because of the COVID, I can't take my machine anywhere to get fixed, so I am doing it on my own and I need help!!!!

Please don't ask me if I have tried the troubleshooter, resetting my router, enabling my wireless adapter, telling them to keep the power on, updating my BIOS.  I have tried anything I can find on the internet.

My warranty has expired, but I am willing to pay top dollar for help or for somebody to fix for me.  I'll ship the thing or throw it out the window, whichever comes first.

@mrelder

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Since you are already using the external wireless Linksys Adapter you can disable the internal Realtek Adapter and check if that helps

If you are facing same issue with the Linksys Adapter then it might be an OS related issue

You can refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06282875

Thank you

it has been reported that some antivirus settings Or Outdated versions may meddle with WiFi connection. Please check all the settings and make sure that your antivirus protection is updated and in no ways Blocking the internet connection.

That's all for my side, However, I found this On Fix WiFi Disconnecting. If Possible then go through it.
