Hi @Shimah,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. If both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options are missing from your HP notebook, I'd like to gather a little more information so we can determine whether this is a driver issue, a Windows issue, or something related to the wireless hardware itself.

Could you please let me know:

  • The exact HP notebook model or product number (P/N)
  • Which version of Windows are you using?
  • Whether the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disappeared after an update, restart, or any other change.

In the meantime, please try the following:
1. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Turn the notebook off.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately tap F2 repeatedly.
  3. Open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
  4. Run the available Wireless Module test if listed.
  5. Also run the System Tests

Please let me know if any test reports a Failure ID.

2. Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices
  3. Expand Network adapters
  4. Check whether the wireless adapter or Bluetooth device is listed, disabled, or showing a warning symbol.

3. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Shut down the notebook.
  2. Disconnect the charger and any external devices.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds
  4. Reconnect the charger and start the notebook.

4. Check for Windows Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update
  2. Install all available updates, including Optional Updates
  3. Restart the notebook.

Please share the notebook model and let me know what you see in Device Manager. If possible, a screenshot of the Network adapters section would be very helpful in determining the next steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
