My computer sees the 5ghz network but does not connect.

It comes with a Realtek RTL8723DE Wi-Fi adapter.

That model Wi-Fi adapter only works on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.

The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.

I was connecting before, but this has been going on for the last 6 months.

Sorry, I can't help you because it is impossible to connect to a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi network with that model Wi-Fi adapter.

I can also guarantee you that no one else will be able to help you with getting that model Wi-Fi adapter to connect to a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi network either.
