hp 430 notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,
I need some help regarding my wireless connection. My device is hp 430 notebook PC windows 7 32-bit.
Apparently, I got this notebook from my relatives, and I'm mass uninstalling programs. The wifi works fine before but today when I checked my laptop my wifi adapter is gone, and I realized that I mistakenly deleted the wifi driver which I think is the atheros (I remember uninstalling 2 program in that name).
Knowing that, I tried to reinstall the driver by searching in the hp page and find "atheros 2011 wireless LAN driver", but when I run the setup, it always says "atheros 802.11a/b/g/n wireless adapter is not found" and force close the setup.
Is there any solutions to fix this?

Hi:

If you uninstalled the Wi-Fi driver, there should be a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

If you see such a device, please post the hardware ID for it so I can figure out what driver it needs.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

IDK why but now my wifi is back, now the atheros is available in device manager even though yesterday it always failed to install (I also tried to restart after it failed but still no hope before).
maybe this laptop is trying to mess with me, but I thank you for your fast reply. I almost given up on this laptop if there is no solution anymore.

nvm it reverts back GDI. anyway I tried your guide now and its ID is "USB\VID_0CF3&PID_3000&REV_0200"

So which driver should I download?

You're very welcome.

You need to install the Atheros Bluetooth driver for that ID...

Thank you, the network is back now. But I wonder why all apps are "you're not connected to internet", for example windows update and smadav while the browser is working fine on its job.
