Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04337700
It only has 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo wifi adapter. Your machine is old, you can't upgrade to new adapter internally. You have 2 options
- Allow your router to broadcast DUAL bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. Your machine can see 2.4GHz net work and allow you to connect
- Buy an external adapter such as (highly recommended)
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO
or similar, it will pick up 5.0GHz networks and allow you to connect
Regards.
