Hi @stile1009,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I reviewed your post and understand that you are unable to find the wireless button on your computer.
I’d love to help!
In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.
- When was the last time the computer was working fine?
- What is the exact issue you are facing?
Meanwhile, follow below steps to turn on the wireless on your computer.
-
Power on your HP laptop.
-
Locate the external switch for the wireless function. Most HP laptop models are fitted with a switch on the side or front of the computer than can be used to turn on the wireless functions. If not on the side or front, the switch may be above the keyboard or on one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard.[1]
- The switch is indicated by an icon that looks like a wireless tower emitting signals.
-
Slide or press the switch into the on position. The indicator light on the key will turn from amber to blue when wireless is enabled.
Method 2
Enabling Wireless in Windows
-
Press the Windows key. This takes you to the start screen
-
Type “wireless”. When you start typing, a search bar will open in the upper-right corner of the screen.
-
Click on Change Wi-Fi Settings. It will appear in the search results
-
Click on Turn wireless devices on or off.
-
Slide the button next to “WiFi” to the "On" position. Your HP laptop can now connect to wireless networks.
Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
Good day! Take care 🙂
Cheers!
