Computer is 5 mos old. Everything great w/ internet until today. Lost internet connection in midst of uploading a document into email. Troubleshoot says Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCle Adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems. In"computer management" tab, "advanced" window, "property" 802.11 "value" is "enabled" Under "driver" tab, update driver is one of the options. Should I try this? Router in house working fine

Hi, @laur22
On that same link, there is actually a newer driver for the RTL8821 and RTL8822 wifi adapters.
04/12/2019, 2024.0.9.101
I have zipped it up and attached it below.
Unzip the file to its folder. Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.
Click on the Realtek 8822 wifi adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.

Hi:
I have read several complaints about that model wifi card.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to update the wifi and bluetooth drivers to their latest versions.
The ones on the support page are outdated.

Dear Laur22,
I have had the same problems as you, due to the fact I am using the same network card.
As already suggested by Paul update the drivers however I would like to eleborate that there is a new driver for this network card which might be able to fix your problems (see attachment). You can download this driver using the following link: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=%09Realtek+Semiconductor+Corp.+Net
After clicking on the link, download the same driver as highlighted in the attachment.
I hope this solves your problem

It seems from other conversations, that the slightly older driver for the 8822 (2024.0.8.105) works better than the newer one.
I have zipped that driver up and attached it below...
You'll have to figure out how to DL and install the driver.
1. If your PC has an ethernet port, connect via ethernet, download the file that way.
2. DL the file to your phone, plug your phone into your PC's USB port, and copy the file to a folder on your PC's windows desktop.
3. Use another Windows PC, download the file, copy it to a USB flash drive, and copy it to a folder on your PC's windows desktop.
