@Mim18, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wireless Network Settings!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check the Wi-Fi Switch: Some HP laptops have a physical switch or a function key that enables or disables the wireless connection. Make sure it's turned on.

Check Wireless Settings in Windows:

  • Windows 10: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on.
  • Windows 11: Click on Start, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.

Ensure Airplane Mode is Off:

  • Both Windows 10 and 11 have an Airplane mode. Ensure it's turned off by checking in Settings > Network & Internet.

Update Wireless Drivers:

  • You can update your wireless drivers through Device Manager. Right-click on the Start button, select Device Manager, find Network adapters, right-click on your wireless adapter, and select Update driver.

Restart Network Components:

  • Sometimes, restarting your router and laptop can solve connectivity issues. Turn off your router for a few minutes and then turn it back on.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure there are no physical obstructions or interference from other electronic devices.

Run Windows Network Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and select Internet Connections. Run the troubleshooter to see if it resolves the problem.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
