Product: HP EliteBook 830 G7 Notebook PC (8PV75AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought an elitebook from a friend. It has a fingerprint reader right below arrow buttons, but under biometrics in device manager, it only shows Hello Face. It shows unavailable in Windows Hello. Wondering if there is a fix for this?

which says  HP Fingerprint Sensor (sold separately or as an optional feature). Did you actually buy this feature ?

 

If you wish, you can buy (part # is on page 19)  and install yourself as mentioned on the following manual
